  CASUAL DINING

When we don't want to dress up, when the budget is a bit busted, when we're hanging out with the gang, these are the restaurants we choose. There's considerable variation among them in price, food style and atmosphere, but all cultivate a relaxed feeling and, in most cases, there's no need for reservations or anything fancier than T-shirt and slippers.

Ryan's Grill

Are you in town and want to grab some pupu and drinks? Ryan's Grill at Ward Centre is a perennial favorite for pau hana get-togethers.

Ryan's retains its popularity despite other restaurants that come and go and the general fickleness of the in crowd. The thing is, when you want to party with friends and insist on a full bar, interesting finger food, easy access and an element of see-and-be-seen hipness, Ryan's tends to come to mind. The menu is tweaked just often enough to keep things surprising, but they're careful to retain customer favorites. We still love that artichoke dip.
