CHINESE
Little Village Noodle House
Even with all the eateries opening in Chinatown, Little Village is still packed. An expansion has not seen the restaurant lose its initial reputation for helpful service, excellent food and bargain prices. The key is experience: This is the third restaurant for founders Ken and Jen Chan; it was Jen who masterminded this more upscale, pan-China restaurant. We can honestly say we've never had a bad dish here. We always enjoy the spicy green beans, pan-fried beef, spicy garlic shrimp, whole fish, volcano pork chop, Mongolian beef, orange chicken, curry eggplant … oh, everything. On First Fridays, the line can wind down the block.
