2008 'ILIMA AWARD WINNER - BEST RESTAURANT 2008
3660 On The Rise
It's not hyperbole to say that 3660 has been busy every night since it opened in 1992. Co-owners Gale Ogawa and Russell Siu divide the duties, with Gale keeping the front of the house moving and Russell and his team creating fusion cuisine calibrated to local tastes in such signature dishes as ahi katsu and alaea-rubbed New York steak. There are also more sophisticated creations such as poached black cod in a pinot-balsamic reduction. Siu's food is some of the least fussy of the celeb Hawaii chefs. A feature we like: “medley” combinations that let you taste multiple dishes. The unassuming dining room is always full of celebrating kamaaina who know they'll find their favorite flavors turned up a notch or two.
