Around since 1988, Brandi's serves local plate lunches (the beef stew is excellent) and teri burgers. And, oh wow, lau lau. Brandi's Friday special gives you one lau lau with pork AND chicken AND butterfish inside. “They give you a portion that's gonna fill a man,” says one regular. That's all you need to know.
1633 Kapiolani Blvd., 2nd floor (across from Pan Am building). 943-0480. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Mondays-Fridays. Cash only. $.

Her food could steal a sailor from the sea: Brandi's serves plate-lunch happiness in the form of, clockwise from top left, saimin, spaghetti, bento with chicken katsu; oven chicken; beef stew; hamburger deluxe with fries and onion rings; and loco moco.
