Assaggio   Italians cooking Italian food isn't a rarity in Honolulu anymore, but when Advertiser readers crave pasta, they make a beeline for the Vietnamese-owned-and-operated Assaggio mini-chain. Years ago, members of the Ky family and their friends learned Italian cooking from longtime Oahu restaurateur George “Cass” Castagnola. They made the cuisine their own, serving reasonably-priced, simple Sicilian-style food in convenient locations.
