CHINESE
Dew Drop Inn
This Makiki fixture focuses on northern Chinese cuisine but makes rogue detours with such dishes as subtly sweet Taiwanese bread a still-steaming small fried loaf that's crisp outside and cottony inside. Favorites on chef Charlie Tsai's menu include orange chicken, vegetarian skin ball, house fried rice and pepper-salted spareribs it's rare to order something (from the picture menu) that doesn't delight. A good option after a movie at nearby Doris Duke Theatre.
