UH-USC ticket prices likely to increase

The University of HawaiI Board of Regents voted to allow the athletic department to re-set some maximum ticket pricing ranges today.
The approval will let UH raise the cost of some sideline tickets for the Sept. 2 football season opener against Southern California from $38 to $50.
Prices for the other six home games will remain at $38 in the same location.
Student ticket prices for the USC game would climb from $8 to $15.
The ranges were last adjusted in 2003, athletic director Jim Donovan said.
He said the current structure increases, except for the USC changes, are largely a function of "housekeeping" and "may not even get up to the maximum in he next three to five years."
UH held public hearings on the proposal last month.
