NFL: Injured Brady out of Pro Bowl, replaced by Schaub

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Tom Brady has pulled out of the Pro Bowl after a season in which he played with rib and finger injuries.
The New England Patriots say Brady won’t play after he and all other players on the team had physicals following their playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Jan. 10.
Brady will be replaced as an AFC backup quarterback by Matt Schaub of the Houston Texans, according to rosters listed on NFL.com. Brady played in all 16 regular season games.
Patriots wide receivers Wes Welker, who suffered a serious knee injury in the regular season finale at Houston, and Randy Moss also are out of the game with injuries.
Patriots guard Logan Mankins, nose tackle Vince Wilfork and safety Brandon Meriweather will play in the game.
