Boxer Manny Pacquiao to sing at Waikiki Shell Sunday

Advertiser Staff

Fresh off his complete domination of Joshua Clottey to retain his WBO welterweight title at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas last week, boxer Manny Pacquiao is bringing his band from the Philippines to the Waikiki Shell this Sunday, and he’ll also be giving one of his world title belts to a fan in attendance.

Pacquiao gets two belts when he wins a world title and typically keeps one for himself and gives one to someone in his entourage. This time, he will give a belt to someone at the Waikiki Shell.
Tickets are available through ticketmaster.com, ticketmaster outlets and by phoning 800-745-3000. Tickets are $25, $45, $55, $75 and $150, with the highest-priced tickets including a meet-and-greet.
Pacquiao has had two albums go platinum in the Philippines, but he rarely performs outside of his country except for at celebration parties following his victories in the ring. His fight this past Saturday drew more than 50,000 fans, and Pacquiao is regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. As a singer, Pacquiao has yet to establish himself outside of the Philippines, adding intrigue to Saturday's concert.
Promoters said Pacquiao will perform for an hour at the concert and there are several other acts who will be taking the stage, including Madonna Decena, Melissa Reyes, Ten Feet, Augie T., Guy Cruz, Jordan Segundo, Lauren Silva, Al Waterson, Jesus Salud, Yasmin Dar, EMKE, Kalei Gamiao, Rapper and Singer MIC3, Super Magician’s Mark and Landon Mauricio, Hawaii’s Fastest Juggler Greg Gabaylo, Hypersquad, D.J. Kutmaster Spaz, D.J. IA, Allysandra Baniqued, Cristy Agres, Angeli Callo, Paul Cortez, Eddie Lactaoen, Elsa Udasco, Briana Abregano, Beauty Queens, Tahitian Groups and street dancer Angelo “Lil Demon” Baligad.
