Moanalua junior Tiana Fujimoto followed up one outstanding season with another, and was rewarded with her second straight O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red East Player of the Year honor.

"She killed us," Castle coach Mark Kane said. "The last three years she's just been unstoppable. She's a game-breaker every time. She's relentless. We tried to double-mark her, use all kinds of schemes against her, and couldn't stop her."

Fujimoto scored a division-high 19 goals this season, even as teams tried to double-team her.

"You had to at least put one on her, and the sweeper is going to have to double up on her or other people would have to pick her up," Kane said.

"She shoots with either foot, from short range and longer range."

Joining Fujimoto as the first-team forwards are Kalani's Sonya Aguirre, who led the Falcons with 13 goals, and Kahuku's Zhane Santiago, who was always a threat with her breakaway speed.

The first-team midfielders are Sonya's twin sister Andrea Aguirre (7 goals), Kaiser's Tamra Nee (6 goals), and Castle's Shayla Hosaka and Roosevelt's Kristin Ho, who each scored a goal.

Two players each from Kalani and Moanalua are the first-team defenders: Falcons Tambrie Awai and Jessica Prince, and Nā Menehune Kaisha Chu and Sarah Nagamine. Nā Menehune allowed a division-low five goals, followed by Kalani's six.

Kalani goalkeeper Kathy Chun completes the first team.

Fujimoto and Santiago return to the first team from last season. Sonya Aguirre, Andrea Aguirre and Nee all moved up from the second team.

Kane was named the Coach of the Year.
