Bankoh rolling out ATM on wheels

The Bankoh BankMobile will debut next weekend at the Hawaii Book & Music Festival. The free mobile ATM service will be offered at community events year round.

Bank of Hawaii will launch a mobile ATM service on O'ahu this month.

The Bankoh BankMobile will debut at the Hawaii Book & Music Festival on May 15 and 16 on the grounds of the Frank F. Fasi Civic Center.

The Bankoh BankMobile will be available free as a public service at community events throughout the year.

SYNEDGEN FIRST-AID RINSE GIVEN BOOST

Synedgen Inc. said it has been awarded a National Institutes of Health grant to accelerate development of its proprietary wound decontamination rinse.

The company was formed last year through the merger of Honolulu-based Hawaii Chitopure and Claremont, Calif.-based BioSTAR West.

The company hopes to initiate clinical trials later this year with the active ingredient in the rinse being manufactured at the company's Honolulu facilities.

IRS OFFERING ADDITIONAL TAX ASSISTANCE

The Internal Revenue Service will host an open house on May 15 to help small businesses and individuals with tax problems.

The IRS offices at 300 Ala Moana in Honolulu will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The office previously had an open house on March 27, with 88 percent of taxpayers who came in having their issues resolved. Other open houses are planned for June 5 and June 26.
