ShakaNet plans airport hookup

Advertiser Staff

ShakaNet, a Honolulu-based Internet service provider, will offer wireless Internet access at Honolulu International Airport.

Under a five-year agreement, the company said it plans a Wi-Fi hot zone in public areas of the airport that can be used by travelers with Wi-Fi-enabled laptops or PDAs. The company will also install pay-per-use computer workstations in gate areas.

The company did not disclose its rates, but said they would be "very reasonable."
