Police have charged Frank Sanes, 30, of Waipahu, in the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man in front of a Waimalu Shopping Center bar last week.
Sanes was charged with second-degree murder, and his bail was set at $250,000. He remains in custody, police said.
Police said yesterday that they were not looking for any other suspects.
Bill P. Refilong was stabbed to death while standing outside the Star Karaoke bar at 98-020 Kamehameha Highway at about 2 a.m. Thursday. Police said two men in a car pulled up to the bar, got out and began stabbing Refilong, who had wounds to his neck, chest and back.
Refilong, a 2001 graduate of 'Aiea High School, had been working as a commercial fisherman on a boat based in Seattle since September, his family said. He was planning to return to Seattle in January.
An autopsy determined Refilong died of a stab wound to the neck.
