HPU romps past Olivet Nazarene

Audrius Peciukas scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds as Hawai'i Pacific routed Olivet Nazarene (Ill.), 71-52, last night at Neal Blaisdell Arena.
Donnell Dobbins added 13 points and Finis Harwell had 12 for the Sea Warriors, who improved to 2-10.
Brett Cole scored 15 points to lead Olivet Nazarene, which dropped to 8-6.
HPU's next game is Jan. 6 at Brigham Young-Hawai'i.
BYU-HAWAI'I HOLDS OFF CHEYNEY RALLY, 66-60
Austin Smylie scored 21 points, Eric Boyce added 15 and Brigham Young-Hawai'i made 17-of-22 free throws in the second half to turn back Cheyney (Pa.), 66-60, last night at the Cannon Activities Center in La'ie.
BYUH (3-4) led 34-24 at halftime and finished 24 of 32 from the free-throw line. Sean King scored 19 points and Asaad Brown 11 for Cheyney (1-6).
The Seasiders will host Pennsylvania today at Cannon. Tipoff is at 5 p.m.
FREE THROWS LIFT UHH OVER MONTEREY BAY
Joe Travis scored 17 points to lead three teammates in doubles figures as Hawai'i-Hilo defeated Cal State Monterey Bay, 77-68, last night at Afook-Chinen Civic in Hilo.
Terrence Troupe added 16, Justin Griffin 15 and Justin Dobson 12 for the Vulcans, who sank 21-of-28 free throws to improve to 10-3.
Devoughn Lamont scored 22 points and Jay DeMaestri 18 for Monterey Bay, which made two of its three free throws, all in the first half, and fell to 4-8.
CHAMINADE DEFEATS CHAPMAN, 80-62
Chris Nelson scored 17 points and Dylan McCune added 12 as Chaminade beat Chapman (Calif.), 80-62, last night at Kaiser High School.
The Silverswords, who improved to 8-4, will next face Cheyney (Pa.) today at 3 p.m. at McCabe Gym.
Patrick Carney scored 21 points for Chapman (8-5).

IOLANI FALLS IN OREGON TOURNAMENT, 59-44
Towson (Md.) Catholic ran past four-time defending state champion Iolani, 59-44, last night to win the consolation bracket title at the Les Scwab Invitational in Portland, Ore.
Towson Catholic took a 17-7 lead in the first period and led throughout, although the Raiders cut it to six in the final period. Kawika Shoji led Iolani with 12 points, and Vinny Nip and Jon Takamura each added nine points.
The Raiders (8-6) went 2-2 in the 16-team tournament, which included national powers Rice (N.Y.) and Westchester (Los Angeles).

WIE INTERVIEW PART 2 WITH ROLFING ON TV
Monday's Golf Hawai'i will feature part two of Mark Rolfing's interview with Michelle Wie. Rolfing's show is on The Golf Channel at 7 p.m. It re-airs Jan. 5 at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. and Jan. 7 at 7 a.m.
Now in its 11th season, the 30-minute magazine program will also focus on the Princeville resort on Kaua'i, Rolfing's My View on golf's Opening Day and a tip on playing a shot from a fairway bunker.
