Attention former mid-'80s Wave slaves: Hat Makes the Man reunites tonight at Wave Waikiki's 25th Anniversary Celebration.
The modern rockers were one of the club's most popular live draws during the Greed Decade. Guitarist/vocalist Peter Bond moved on to found '80s and '90s Wave Waikiki house bands Oriental Love Ring and Spiny Norman, and drummer Frank Orrall went on to form worldbeat collective Poi Dog Pondering. Both will be back for the reunion.
Also back on the Wave stage for the party: Sonya Mendez. 10 p.m., $15, 21 and older. 941-0424.
