A funeral service will be held Saturday for a Marine from Hawai'i who was killed Nov. 1 in Iraq.

Sgt. Daniel Akio Tsue, 27, was a 1996 graduate of Kahuku High School serving as an explosive ordnance disposal technician with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force from Camp Pendleton, Calif.

He was killed near Ar Ramadi, Iraq, when a roadside bomb exploded near his vehicle.

Tsue joined the Marines in December 1998.

He is survived by his father, Richard; mother, Deborah Takemoto; brother, Alexander Takemoto; sister, Joy Takemoto; and grandmother, Marian Tsue.

Visitation 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Borthwick Mortuary, service 11:30; cremation to follow. Inurnment 1 p.m. Monday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
