St. Francis, Radford to meet in title match

Kawena Cubi-Otineru had 12 kills, five digs and two blocks to lead top-seeded St. Francis past Kaimuki, 25-18, 25-13, in yesterday's semifinal round of the HHSAA/NewCityNissan.com Girls Division II Volleyball State Championships at Radford High School.
St. Francis, the Interscholastic League of Honolulu champion, will meet second-seeded Radford, champion of the O'ahu Interscholastic Association, in tonight's championship match at 8 p.m.
Radford swept Maryknoll, 25-12, 25-21, in the other semifinal. Heather Mau had six kills, six blocks and one block for the Rams.
CONSOLATION
SEABURY HALL DEF. SACRED HEARTS: Bailey Roberts put down 13 kills and Seabury Hall won, 25-20, 25-23. Kaipo Rocha and Yacine Meyer added 12 digs apiece. Keila Ah Mow led Sacred Hearts with eight kills. Seabury Hall faces Kaiser in the fifth-place match at 5 p.m.
KAISER DEF. HONOKA'A: Cortney Kandler had nine kills as Kaiser won, 25-21, 31-29. Chanelle Esteban added seven kills and 14 digs for the Cougars. Wila Lavea put down 11 kills and Jessica Lorenzo had 11 digs for Honoka'a.
KONAWAENA DEF. ST. JOSEPH'S: Kiana Kapuniai had nine kills and nine digs to lead Konawaena to a 25-23, 31-29 victory. Melissa Mattos led St. Joseph's with nine kills. The Wildcats take on Kapa'a for seventh-place at 3:30 p.m.
