MAN CHARGED IN BANK ROBBERY
Police have charged a man suspected of robbing the King-Liliha branch of First Hawaiian Bank earlier this week. Honolulu Police Department's robbery detail obtained a federal warrant Thursday charging Arnold Buskey with bank robbery.
The warrant ordered that Buskey be held without bail while awaiting an appearance in federal court.
Buskey was arrested nearly three hours after the bank at 445 N. King St. was robbed shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday. The robber gave a teller a note demanding money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Buskey, described as homeless, was arrested when officers saw him trying to get into a car in Chinatown. The driver of the car was questioned and released. He told police he had no idea Buskey was being sought in connection with the robbery.
