"Everybody Loves Raymond" finale, 7:30 p.m., CBS. Here's a repeat of the farewell episode of TV's best comedy. Then "Raymond" retires to the world of DVD and reruns on TV. This episode, which first aired in May, was the perfect finish for an understated delight. Ray goes in for minor surgery and then has a crisis. There's a brief glimpse of what we'd always expected: These droll, dry people really do love each other.
"Ambulance Girl," 6 p.m., Lifetime. People have always envied Jane Stern. She met her husband Michael at Yale; they've written more than 30 books together, often about food.
Still, Stern felt empty. She filled it by being a small-town emergency medical volunteer. That has been fictionalized, first in Stern's novel and now in this movie, which is a mixed pleasure. The parts in which she learns a new skill are wonderful. Director-star Kathy Bates keeps us watching and interested.
OF NOTE
"Monday Night Football," 6:30 p.m., ABC. It's the regular-season opener for "Monday Night Football." The Philadelphia Eagles visit the Atlanta Falcons.
"Cash in the Attic" debut, 8 p.m., HGTV. This series mixes the appeal of "Antique Roadshow" (which has the same time slot) and makeover shows. A couple has a room make-over in mind but first they mine old items, looking for things to sell and finance the project.
"Wildfire," 8 p.m., ABC Family. Here's the season finale for this above-average drama. Kris, the teenage ex-con, finally gets to ride the horse she loves in a race.
"Prison Break," 8 p.m., Fox. In last week's episode, Michael formed a reluctant pact with the mobster who chopped off his toe. Now comes another crisis: A fellow inmate may be able to figure out that Michael's elaborate tattoo is a blueprint of the prison.
"Two and a Half Men," 8 and 8:30 p.m., CBS. In the first rerun, poor Jake must spend an evening with his grandmother. In the second, Charlie is supposed to pretend to be gay.
"CSI: Miami," 9 p.m., CBS. Here's a rerun of the season finale in which Horatio finally learned the truth about his brother.
"In the Balance: Bioattack," 10 p.m., PBS. What would happen if officials faced painful decisions involving a terrorist attack? Worth seeing.
