TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE
"MTV Video Music Awards," 8 p.m., MTV. The MTV award shows always turn out to be fun. That should be especially true this time with Jack Black as host. Performers include Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Ludacris, T.I., the Killers and the Raconteurs. Christina Aguilera will also be on hand.
"The Office," 7:30 p.m., NBC. Over these three reruns, you'll find lots of amusement. In the first, Michael (Steve Carell) gives out his annual awards. In the second, it's Take Your Daughter to Work Day. In the third, Michael takes charge of conflict resolution with exceptionally funny results.

Akaka-Case debate, 7:30 p.m., KHET. U.S. Senator Dan Akaka and U.S. Representative Ed Case participate in a primary election debate. Broadcast live from the PBS Hawai'i studio.
OF NOTE
"Grey's Anatomy," 7 p.m., ABC. The first rerun is set at Thanksgiving when no one is happy that Izzie is the cook. Meredith and Cristina end up working on the holiday. In the second, Bailey has Cristina as a babysitter.
"Celebrity Duets," 7 p.m., Fox. If you missed the debut Tuesday, here's a quick rerun. Next week, this reality show settles in Thursdays and Fridays, coming up with a winner Sept. 29.
"My Name is Earl," 7 p.m., NBC. Two terrific actresses collide in this rerun. There's Jaime Pressly in her regular duty as Joy, Earl's ex-wife. And there's Juliette Lewis as Jessie, the one he dumped for Joy. Tonight, Juliette arrives looking for revenge.
"Big Brother All-Stars," 7 p.m., CBS. It's time for another person to be ousted.
"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 8 p.m., CBS. In this rerun, Nick meets the daughter of the man who buried him alive.
"Windfall," 9 p.m., NBC. Who knew that being rich would be so difficult? Tonight, all four people in the extra-marital tangle are distraught. There's also trouble between Sean and Tally and between Damien and Galina.
"Without a Trace," 9 p.m., CBS. In a change of pace, this rerun is through the eyes of the parents whose child is missing.
