TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE
"Holidaze: The Christmas That Almost Didn't Happen," 7 p.m., ABC. Who knew there was a support group for depressed holiday icons? For that matter, who knew that holiday icons are depressed? In this new animated hour, they try to help Rusty the Reindeer (Fred Savage) find the meaning of Christmas. There's the Easter bunny (Gladys Knight), Cupid (Paul Rodriguez) and Trick and Treat (Brenda Song and Emily Osment; there's also a Thanksgiving turkey (Harland Williams) who might be justified in feeling depressed.
"What I Did For Love," 7 p.m., Hallmark Channel. A big-time, big-city lawyer (Jeremy London) and a doctor (Dorie Barton) may be ready to marry. First, however, he must meet her family at Christmas. That won't be easy. They are ranchers in a world of horses and guns and excess machismo. Her dad (James Gannon) grumbles; her aunt (Sally Struthers) is odd. This lets us have some fun, en route to the designated conclusion.

OF NOTE
Cartoon marathon, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., ABC Family. This will keep the kids busy. It starts with the two-hour "Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July" at 9 a.m. and ends with the one-hour "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" at 6 p.m.
"Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (2000), 8 p.m., ABC. Ron Howard directed Jim Carrey in an expanded version of the classic tale. The original cartoon, which reruns at 8 p.m. Tuesday on ABC, really didn't need expanding.
"Law & Order," 9 p.m., NBC. During the first three seasons of this series (1990-93), Richard Brooks played Paul Robinette, an assistant district attorney. Now Robinette returns as a defense lawyer, in this rerun. His client is a nurse practitioner, accused of leading to an inmate's death via a method of involuntary sterilization.
"Saturday Night Live," 10:30 p.m., NBC. Annette Bening hosts, with music by Gwen Stefani.
