A service for Alvin Shim, labor attorney, mediator and co-founder of Alu Like, will be held at 2 p.m. July 19 at Neal Blaisdell Concert Hall. A 1 p.m. visitation will precede the service. A celebration of his life will follow in the NBC Exhibition Hall; attendees are asked to bring a favorite photo of and/or story about him. No flowers at family's request.

Shim died June 24 at the age of 82.
