KO OLINA OFFERING THREE JUNIOR PROGRAMS

Ko Olina Golf Club offers three programs for juniors during the year.

The Ko Olina Kidz Club is a six-week summer session from Sunday to Aug. 20. It meets every Sunday, at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m or 3:30 p.m. Cost is $110 to $130.

Junior group clinics provide a special emphasis on playing, with a focus on short game and on-course experience. Cost is $80 per lesson for one junior, $40 each per lesson for two and $25 per lesson for three or four players. Each lesson is 90 minutes and times are flexible.

Ko Olina's pros provide private lessons, at $70 an hour or $40 for 30 minutes. They also have a Junior Series that costs $250 and includes 10 half-hour lessons and five range passes.

Classes are open to beginner, intermediate, advanced and competitive players. Call 676-5300 for more information or to sign up.

Ko Olina also has a "Catch the Bug" promotion for adults. For $24 a year, golfers get a USGA handicap, Hawai'i State Golf Association membership, online scoring access to GHIN (Golf Handicap and Information Network) and an engraved bag tag.

Premium membership is $84 per year and includes the same benefits standard members receive, plus invitations to clinics, tournaments, and events, custom club fitting, a 30-minute private lesson and video swing analysis with a PGA professional and a nine-hole round. Bag storage privileges also are available for an additional $20 a month, based upon availability.
