Pack a picnic dinner and head for Waikiki for tonight's Starbucks Wildest Show in Town at the zoo.

The annual summer series, launching with Ernie Cruz Jr. and a guest, continues each Wednesday at twilight through Aug. 16. There are 'ukulele giveaways (one for keiki, one for adults) each week, too.

Admission is $2. Gates open at 4:35 p.m., the music begins at 6 p.m. 926-3191.

RETIRED JUDGE WILL SHARE INSIGHTS

Retired Hawai'i state judge Marie Milks, the first Asian woman to attend Georgetown Law Center, shares stories and insights from her groundbreaking career in law and the judicial system at 7 tonight at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa, Yukiyoshi Room, Krauss 012.

Milks, who figured in Hawai'i's first murder-for-hire case as a deputy public defender in the '70s, makes her appearance as part of the Shunzo Sakamaki Extraordinary Lecture Series. Free, 956-8246, www.outreach.hawaii.edu/summer.
