Fitness guru Richard Simmons reads The Advertiser — or at least our Fitness Profile of Feb. 16. He saw a recent fitness profile on Kaimuki resident Eric Neddermeyer and called The Arc in Hawai'i, where Neddermeyer works out.

Neddermeyer, who regularly exercises to Simmons' video, was in a class at The Arc but was summoned to take the call. Once on the phone, Neddermeyer told Simmons he loved him.

Neddermeyer has lost 160 pounds (he was 300) since undertaking a daily workout regimen with the video.
