The 24th class of inductees to the Nissan Hawai'i High School Hall of Honor — including the first honorees from Damien and Hawai'i Baptist — was selected yesterday by a 14-person committee.

Each senior student-athlete will receive a $2,000 college scholarship and will be honored at an awards banquet June 11 at the Sheraton Waikiki. Four former Hawai'i high school athletes — David Ishii, Cal Lee, Dr. Richard Mamiya and the late Jim Alegre — also will be honored at the dinner.

The 12 Hall of Honor inductees are:

  • Camilla Ah-Hoy, Kahuku (volleyball, basketball);

  • Junior Ale, Kahuku (basketball, volleyball);

  • Kenny Estes, Waimea (football, soccer, track);

  • Lauren Ho, Hawai'i Baptist (cross country, track, soccer);

  • Jeremy Kamaka'ala, Kamehameha (cross country, track, wrestling);

  • Brandon Low, Saint Louis (wrestling, judo);

  • Careena Onosai, Word of Life (track, volleyball, basketball);

  • Tye Perdido, Seabury Hall (soccer, volleyball, football, baseball);

  • Kealoha Pilares, Damien (football, track and field, basketball);

  • Dylan Rush, Ka'u (wrestling, football, judo, track and field);

  • Kawika Shoji, Iolani (volleyball, basketball, golf);

  • Gerritt Vincent, Kamehameha (wrestling, football).

    This year's class will bring the total number of inductees to 288, representing 50 high schools since 1983.
