District military contracts top $228M in fiscal year

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Honolulu District awarded more than $228 million in contracts during fiscal year 2006, including the recently awarded military construction and civil works contracts.
Here is a list of many of the contracts:
Dental Clinic Optimization, G1D, Tripler Army Medical Center, awarded Sept. 22 to Pioneer Contracting Co. Ltd. for $700,392. The project includes repairs, upgrades and renovation of the existing Dental Clinic at Tripler Army Medical Center.
Upgrade Electrical Distribution System, Phase 3, Hickam Air Force Base, awarded Sept. 22 to Designer Built Systems Inc. for $6,505,629. The project continues a series of upgrades to the base's electrical distribution system to improve the reliability and increase capacity of the electrical system.
Munitions & Explosives of Concern Health & Support for various Hawaii locations, awarded Sept. 26 to Donaldson Enterprises Inc. for $127,372.81. This contract provides health and safety support for civilian personnel either employed by the Army or not, to any of the Schofield Barracks training ranges.
Renovate Buildings 520 and 525, Fort Shafter, awarded Sept. 26 to Goto Construction Inc. for $5,124,204.
Unexploded Ordnance Health & Safety Support for Proposed Property Fencing at the U.S. Army Pohakuloa Training Area, Island of Hawai'i, awarded Sept. 26 to Donaldson Enterprises Inc. for $128,821.95. This contract includes Military Munitions Response Program health and safety support for work crews to install approximately 18 miles of fencing as part of the installation natural resource protection plan under the National Environmental Policy Act. The services included under this scope are intended to assure the health and safety of work crews from potential unexploded ordnance (munitions and explosives of concern or MEC) during the survey and installation of the perimeter fencing at PTA.
POH Emergency Management Relocation Renovation, Phase II, Building 525, Fort Shafter, awarded Sept. 27 for $224,914 to Channel Electric.
Restore 1st Floor, Building 108, Wheeler Army Airfield, awarded Sept. 27 to LYZ Inc. for $2,863,130.
Lyman Gate Improvements, Schofield Barracks, awarded Sept. 27 to Niking Corp. for $630,104.
Repair/Renovate Building 790, Chapel, Schofield Barracks, awarded Sept. 29 to Niking Corp. for $847,231.
Orthopedics Upgrades, Tripler Army Medical Center, awarded Sept. 29 to Pioneer Contracting Co. Ltd. for $758,450. The project supports upgrades to existing orthopedic spaces to increase capability and support future increases patient load.
Optometry, Wing 4G, Tripler Army Medical Center, awarded Sept. 29 to Pioneer Contracting Co. Ltd. for $433,960 for renovation, upgrades and repairs to the existing clinic space for Optometry Clinic, Wing 4G.
Repair Building 405, Fort Shafter, awarded Sept. 29 to RMA Land Construction Inc. for $1,478,279 for repairs to the three-story side, including the design, demolition, repair of administrative offices, open areas and restrooms. Work also includes repairs to the electrical and lighting system, air conditioning, flooring, windows and painting.
Relocatables, Fort Shafter, awarded Sept. 30 to Alutiiq-Mele LLC for $19,273,183 for complete design and construction for the site preparation, purchase and installation of modular buildings and arms vaults for five sites at Fort Shafter.
Golf Maintenance Facility, Fort Shafter, awarded Sept. 30 to LYZ Inc. for $1,675,170.
Radiology, Wing 4G, Tripler Army Medical Center, awarded Sept. 27 to J&J Maintenance Inc. for $1,147,525.25. The project supports upgrades to existing radiology spaces to increase capability and capacity of the Department of Radiology to support future increases patient load.
Consolidated Training Facility, Hickam Air Force Base, awarded Sept. 28 to Nan Inc. doing business as Ocean House Builders for $6,345,839.60 for construction of Air Force Reserve consolidated and medical training facilities for the 624th Regional Support Group, 624th Logistical Support Flight; 624th Mission Support Group; and the 624th Aero-Medical Staging Flight.
