If your home is littered with useless old monitors, speakers, keyboards, laptops, cell phones, VCRs, TVs, printers, scanners — all the electronica of wired domesticity, here's reason to jump up and down: It's EWaste Disposal Day! It's EWaste Disposal Day!

Log on to www.hawaii.edu/ewaste, and find out what can and cannot be dropped off at the six college campuses on four islands — University of Hawai'i-Manoa, Leeward and Windward community colleges on O'ahu, UH-Hilo, Kaua'i Community College and Maui Community College.

Hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. This recycling event is for residents only, not commercial businesses.

The Web site also has maps that pinpoint the drop-off point on each campus. For instance, at UH-Manoa, it's near the Biomed building at the far end of East-West Road.

Say farewell to that dusty router!
