Ex-Hawai'i star Owens taken out with injury

Jacksonville punt returner Chad Owens, a former University of Hawai'i standout, left last night's game in the second quarter with a rib injury in the Jaguars' 9-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Owens was hurt with 5:30 left in the second quarter when he fielded a punt, cut through an opening only to collide head-on with a teammate. His status was not immediately known.
Owens returned two punts, each for 4 yards. He also had two fair catches.
In addition to Owens, two other Jaguars left the game after getting hurt. Defensive end Marcellus Wiley suffered a groin injury and fullback Derrick Wimbush had a knee injury.
