TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Jericho," 8 p.m., CBS. It's already tough to keep up with the new shows, so here's a handy catch-up night. Dramas — all of which debuted this week — rerun at 8 ("Jericho") and 9 p.m. ("Smith"). "Jericho" is clearly the best. It's set in a Kansas town filled with secrets and surprises. The mayor (Gerald McRaney) is startled to see his son (Skeet Ulrich) return after five years. When a nuclear cloud is spotted in the distance, changing everything, "Jericho" becomes a rich portrait of ordinary people facing crisis and confusion.

OF LOCAL NOTE

Primary election coverage. KGMB begins coverage at 6 p.m., KHON and KHNL at 6:30.

OF NOTE

"The Matrix," (1999) 2 p.m. and "The Matrix Reloaded," (2003) 5 p.m., both TNT. Both movies were huge box-office hits. Keanu Reeves plays a computer hacker who learns disconcerting things about reality itself. Soon, he's the defender of humanity. The movies drew attention for everything from their existential plots to their ambitious fight scenes.

"College Football," 2 p.m., ABC. A longtime rivalry continues as Notre Dame visits Michigan State University.

"Charlie's Angels," 7-10 p.m., Ion (formerly Pax). Here are reruns of this flashy-but-silly old show. In the first, cheerleaders are being abducted. The second involves truck hijacking, and the third involves moonshine.

"Smith," 9 p.m., CBS. Here's a rerun of the series debut that aired at 9 p.m. Tuesday. It definitely starts strong with an art heist, some shootings, a speedboat and an explosion. Lots of good actors are employed here, including Ray Liotta, Virginia Madsen, Jonny Lee Miller, Amy Smart and Simon Baker. In this first hour, however, we're given no reason to care about the people they play.
