A 10-minute video, created for Child & Family Service, won first place in the Western Regional National Student Television Awards' public affairs-community services category. The honor is akin to a student Emmy Award.

Hawaii Student Television's 30-second "Therapeutic Foster Parent PSA," also for CFS, was also tapped by NSTV Regional for consideration in the National NSTV Awards. Yet another 10-minute video, on Hulihe'e Palace created for the Daughters of Hawai'i, earned an honorable-mention nod.

The Hawai'i winners will be acknowledged in an NSTV event this fall in New York.
