Members of the Waimea, Waikoloa, Puako and Kawaihae communities are invited to Waimea Middle School's monthly Local Advisory Panel meeting May 3.

Special guests include Keith Vieira, volunteer chair of Ho'okako'o Corp., which is the local school board for WMS, a public conversion charter school.

The meeting will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Classroom W101.

The panel includes elected representatives of all school stakeholder groups and provides a forum for discussion of the school's educational strategic plan to support student achievement, family engagement and community involvement.
