A Big Island grand jury has indicted a 23-year-old Hilo man in connection with a shooting shortly before midnight March 29 outside a Hilo bar. No one was injured in the shooting.
Kananialika Abadilla was indicted for first-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree reckless endangering for allegedly firing a shot in a populated area.
A 23-year-old man told police he was threatened by a man who brandished a firearm and then fired a single shot near him. The man then fled on foot, police were told.
Police acting on a tip from an acquaintance arrested Abadilla on April 1 near the Banyan Drive peninsula.
