Get your red-hot "The Lion King" tickets beginning today at the Blaisdell box office, from 6 a.m., and Ticketmaster outlets/online, (877) 750-4400 or www.ticketmaster.com from 9 a.m. Group sales have been under way, but this is your first chance for individual tickets.

If you're a really-early bird (that is, you camped out overnight at the Blaisdell), there's hoopla in store as the promoters offer free coffee, pastries, smoothies and copies of The Honolulu Advertiser from 5 a.m. There's entertainment and prizes, too, including "Lion King" CDs for the first 100 in line, T-shirts and massages.

"The Lion King," the Tony Award-winning Broadway extravaganza, is based on the Disney animated film. Its run is from Sept. 16 to Oct. 28, with previews Sept. 15-16, at the Blaisdell Concert Hall. Tickets range from $33 to $91 depending on the performance.
