A motorcyclist was hospitalized in critical condition after colliding with a car late Friday night on Farrington Highway in Waipahu, police said. Two other Waipahu residents were hospitalized.

Police said the crash happened at 11:27 p.m. west of Awamoku Street. An east-bound yellow 2002 Suzuki motorcycle driven by a 36-year-old man carrying a 36-year-old woman passenger collided with a white, four-door 1999 Toyota Corolla driven by a 51-year-old man as the car was pulling onto the highway.

Police said the Toyota was north-bound and turning west out of a driveway on Farrington when it collided with the motorcycle.

The man on the motorcycle suffered critical head injuries, police said. The woman and the driver of the Toyota were hurt but did not suffer life-threatening injuries, they said. All three were taken to Hawaii Medical Center-West, where the driver of the Toyota was treated and released. The man and the woman who were on the motorcycle were transferred to The Queen's Medical Center, police said.

Speed and alcohol did not appear to be factors, police said.
