Big Island woman, 20, dies after crash

A 20-year-old Kealakekua woman died at Ka'u Hospital yesterday after being injured in an early morning car crash on the Big Island.
Police identified the woman as Larnell K. Chillingsworth.
It was the Big Island's 36th traffic fatality of the year, compared with 33 by this day in 2006.
According to police, Chillingsworth was driving a 1991 Honda Accord on Wakea Avenue that went through a stop sign at Kamaoa Road and crashed into a rock embankment at 3:40 a.m.
She was pronounced dead at the hospital at 4:55 a.m.
Chillingsworth was alone in the car and was using her seat belt, police said.
Speed and alcohol may have been contributing factors, according to police.
