GOT GREEN CORNED BEEF?

Hungry? The third annual St. Patrick's Day Green Corned Beef Musubi Eating Contest happens from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 17 (that's St. Patrick's Day) at Kahala Mall. Men and women will compete for the crown of king or queen and for a grand prize of $1,000 and a year's supply of Pepsi.

The contest is sponsored by L&L Drive-Inn. Contestants — 10 lucky eaters will be chosen from the pool of entrants — can sign up at 951-9888 or www.hawaiianbarbecue.com. Entry deadline is Feb. 23.

COMEDY AT JUST ONE

Just One, a new bar/lounge at 1372 S. King St., at the corner of King and Ke'eaumoku, is hosting The BlackOut Comedy Night, 8:30 p.m. March 3. Performers in an evening of urban, Def Jam-style of comedy include Professor Teasedale, Diva Mama, Al Easterling and Skoobi; the Chocolate Rocket hosts.
