Free hepatitis B screening, shots

Advertiser Staff

Free hepatitis B screening and vaccination is being offered from 9 to 11:30 a.m. today at the Chinatown Cultural Plaza street-level pavilion.

The services are being offered jointly by the nonprofit Jade Ribbon Campaign and the state Department of Health.

While the program is open to anyone 18 and older, the target group is the ethnic Asian community. One in 10 Asians are infected with hepatitis B.
