Shotgun blast killed victim

A man found dead in a burned car in Puna Sunday morning died from a single shotgun wound to the head, according to preliminary results of an autopsy yesterday.
Police found the car and the body near the shoreline in the Wa'a Wa'a area of lower Puna, but have not positively identified the victim.
A 17-year-old youth has been charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, second-degree arson and unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle. Police have not released his name because he is a minor.
