The body of a 58-year-old man whose hands were bound behind his back was discovered yesterday in his McCully studio apartment.
An autopsy will be conducted today. The man's name was not released pending notification of kin.
There was no evidence of forced entry or indication the apartment had been burglarized, police said.
Lt. Bill Kato, supervisor of Honolulu police homicide investigations, said the body was found in an apartment at 2526 Kapi'olani Boulevard at 9:14 a.m. by the landlord of the building, who used a master key to enter the unit for scheduled maintenance work.
The man was last seen alive at 9 a.m. Saturday in the building's parking lot by neighbors, Kato said.
Police said the body was face-down with the man's hands tied behind his back.
