The county will close the right-turn lane from Haleilio Road to Kuhio Highway in Wailua Homesteads this week for improvements to the sewage pump station in the area.

The lane will be closed from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. both today and tomorrow.

Drivers will still be able to make right turns onto the highway, but county officials warned that there may be traffic delays as a result of congestion in the lane.

The work will involve cutting the road to install pipes under it.
