Ko Olina also has two events coming up to continue its celebration of PGA Family Golf Month. Free golf clinics will be held July 21 and 28 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. There are also ongoing family lessons and on-course junior lessons available.
A nine-hole parent-child tournament will be Aug. 5 at 3:30 p.m. Team entry fee is $20. Adults pay regular green fees and kids play free. Teams are made up of one parent and one child, with a parent allowed to form two teams if they have two children. The parent will play two balls.

Vierra has won the last two Waialae titles. She beat Lily Yao on the third playoff hole last year. Yao also lost the low net title to Chun in a playoff.
Vierra is one of 19 single-digit handicappers. State Senior Women's champion Marcie Rudich is also entered. Eight golfers from Maui and one each from the Big Island, Mainland and Japan are also playing.
STATE WOMEN'S STROKE PLAY ENTRIES ACCEPTED
Entries are being taken for the Hawai'i State Women's Golf Association Stroke Play Championship, July 31 to Aug. 2, at Mid-Pacific Country Club. Jaclyn Hilea won last year's championship by four shots over Kayla Morinaga.

The first day will be a qualifier for the USGA Women's Team Championship, with the three top golfers who accept the invitation representing Hawai'i at The Club at Carlton Woods in Texas, Sept. 18 to 20. The Hawai'i State Women's Golf Foundation will provide a $1,000 travel stipend for each qualifier.
