Head to Wai'anae Coast for Sunset on the Beach

The Wai'anae Coast Sunset on the Beach festival celebrates its seventh year this weekend at Ma'ili Beach Park.
The attractions include movies on a giant screen, food booths, arts and crafts, entertainment on two stages, a health expo, X-treme carnival rides, bouncers and mazes, keiki ID, a vintage car display and fireworks at dusk tomorrow.
Tonight's film is "Happy Feet," the animated tale about a young penguin who can't sing but can dance up a storm. Tomorrow's is "Dreamgirls," the musical based very loosely on The Supremes and for which Jennifer Hudson won the Oscar for best supporting actress.
Festival hours are from noon to 10 p.m. today and tomorrow. Admission is free; and free shuttles will take attendees from and to the Nanakuli Butler Building and Waianae Mall (on Lehoku Street behind Pizza Hut and Makaha Marketplace) from noon to 10:30 p.m. each day.
