Haven't found your summer of love yet? Make the pilgrimage to the biggest party of the year — The Love Festival. With two areas of pulsating music (this year by trance DJ Christopher Lawrence, Swedish Egil and many others), laser disco lights, and thousands of happy people, you are bound to meet a new friend or two. "People plan their annual return to this party, they schedule their vacations, their work schedules all for the Love Festival," says event promoter DJ G-Spot. He advises that "you should dress comfortable; girls shouldn't wear high-heels because it's an outdoor event." Carpooling is recommended because parking is limited. VIP tickets, $60 now and $75 later, include a VIP entrance, backstage access, private artist party with an open vodka and beer bar, parking and sponsored giveaways.
The Love Festival: 8 p.m.-4 a.m. Saturday; Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park; $25; www.groovetickets.com (price will go up to $30 then $35 — dates not yet specified).

THE HOOK-UP
Tired of parking your bag in a puddle of beer? Enter the Purse 'n Hook, a little gizmo that keeps a handbag securely off the ground. Position one end of the hook on a table's edge and use the hook to hold a handbag away from the grimy ground and grungy feet. It will stay secure and within sight — and can fit into any but the tiniest of handbags. We found this one at Chelsea in Manoa Marketplace for $11.
