The Wai'anae Public Library will host a Makua Valley Art and Photograph Exhibit through the end of August.

The informational exhibit will present "A Brief Cultural History of Makua Valley" by Marion Kelly and Nancy Aleck, and feature the works of Maile Andrade, Jan Becket, Alyce Dodge, Fred Dodge, Pearl Ling, Carl F.K. Pao and Marietje Fuller.

The valley, which once supported a large Native Hawaiian population, has been used for live-fire training by the U.S. military since World War II.

The exhibit can be seen daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except Wednesdays (1 to 8 p.m.) and Fridays (1 to 5 p.m.). Closed Sundays.
