Parole officials have ordered a 26-year-old Big Island man to serve out his entire 30-year prison term for holding his girlfriend captive and raping and beating her.
Ernest Horcajo III admitted to beating the woman with a golf club, a piece of pipe and other objects during three weeks in 2004.
The woman was 19 at the time and suffered a broken jaw, a broken nose, six broken ribs, a ruptured spleen and a ruptured kidney.
Horcajo pleaded guilty or no contest to kidnapping, sexual assault and assault.
The paroling authority decision requires that Horcajo remain in prison until 2036, said Acting Parole Administrator Max Otani.
