Kaua'i County real property owners should already have received real property tax bills, and taxes for the 2007-2008 tax year are due Aug. 20, the county real property taxation office said.

Owners who pay property taxes directly, and not through an agent, and who have not received bills can call 241-6555 or visit the Real Property Tax Collection office at the Lihu'e Civic Center, Kapule Building, 4444 Rice St., Suite 463.

The county said late payments are subject to a 10 percent penalty and 12 percent interest.
