A picnic is being planned for former Massachusetts residents now living on Maui.

The potluck event will be at 11:30 a.m. July 8 at Kama'ole Beach Park III in Kihei.

Organizers are encouraging those planning to attend the picnic to bring a dish reminiscent of their time in New England, such as baked beans, fried clams, brown bread, clam chowder, lobster and cod.
