WAI'ANAE
Sustainability to be discussed

Advertiser Staff

State Rep. Karen Leinani Awana, R-44th (Honokai Hale, Nanakuli, Lualualei) is asking Wai'anae Coast community residents to attend a public Sustainability 2050 meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ma'ili Elementary School.

Awana called the meeting to assure participation from coast residents on sustainability policies that will affect Hawai'i for the next four decades.

Information gathered at the meeting will be part of a draft proposal submitted to the Sustainability 2050 Task Force in September.

Too often in the past, coast residents have been "left out" of the political process, she said.
