The 19-member Waipahu Neighborhood Board is seeking residents from the southeastern portion of the region for three vacancies on its panel.

Residents of the Kahua, Waipahu Triangle and Waipahu High School/Middle Loch neighborhoods who are interested are asked to attend tonight's board meeting at the Waipahu Cultural Garden Park at 7 p.m.

Eligible candidates will be asked to tell a little about themselves and explain why they want to join. Neighborhood Commission staff must also verify residency.

The existing board can then vote on whether to accept new members for terms that run through May 2009.
